Pease Bay
The spot
The most consistent spot on Scotland's east coast. Close to Edinburgh, so it gets busy, especially on weekends and summer evenings. Parking is the guest parking spot in the caravan park, with some overflow spaces along the road to the site. Come early, as the car park is often completely filled up by 10am on good swell days.
Mostly a sandy break break - although there is a reef break at the rocky southern end. Lefts are generally slower moving, and give some nice long rides.
Also, there is a public shower at the beach, but from what I've seen it hasn't been working for a while. Same with the webcam - looks like this used to be a thing, but not any more. Nearby Coldingham bay has a webcam, which can be used to get a rough idea - although expect here to be bigger.
