Coldingham Bay

A very scenic spot, with a bunch of amenities right on the beach. It's often quite fickle, and it normally produces quite punchy sort of waves. Beginners can ride the white-water, but otherwise if you paddle out, expect more hollow, dumpy sort of waves even on good days.

Personally, I've never had much luck though. Most of the time (especially in summer months) there's just not enough swell getting into here for it to work. The other times, it just ends up closing out. I'd recommend heading out when it's low tide.
